Scottie S&D

The Glasgow Speech and Drama ran into some rough road conditions on their way to the Forsyth meet but not even that could slow down the Scotties. The team jumped right into competition and sent six of their seven team members to the finals.

At the end of the Forsyth Invitational, the Scotties had earned two first-place finishes and two second places and as a team they earned Second Place in Speech Sweeps.

Fynn Sukut won the top slot in Impromptu and Gabe Proctor won Humorous Oral Interpretation. Mason Swenson placed second in Memorized Public Address and Chase Tarum earned second place in Humorous Oral Interpretation.

Samantha Combs placed fifth in Dramatic Oral Interpretation and Harley Edwards earned seventh in the same category. Hailee Richardson placed 24th in Humorous Oral Interpretation.

The Glasgow Speech and Drama Showcase and Senior Night is this Thursday, Jan. 13, at 6 p.m. at the high school. Saturday, Jan. 15, they will attend the Fairview Invitational.

The Speech and Drama Eastern B/C Divisional Tournament is Saturday, Jan. 22, in Plentywood.
