The Glasgow Bantam Ice Dawgs added two to their win column this past weekend, downing the Helena Bighorns 10-2 and 5-0 in a Helena forfeit.
Glasgow dominated early and throughout the game, taking a 6-0 lead at the end of the first.
Goals came from Brody Hansen, assist Gryffen Collins; Bode Barnett, assist Charlie Cornwell; Halle Hunter, assist Tavin Boland; C. Cornwell, assist Hansen; Boland, assist C. Cornwell, and Hansen, assist Boland.
Glasgow scored two more goals in the second period. Boland, assist Landon Honey, and Boland, assist Hunter, were the two scores. In the third period C. Cornwell, assist John Cornwell, and Hansen, assist Barnett, were the goal scorers.
Glasgow put 60 shots on Helena's goal while Jacob Potter saw only 11 attempts on his net.
The Dawgs had only three penalties in the game. Barnett was called for hooking in the second which resulted in a penalty shot. Hansen, interference and Barnett, roughing, served time in the third period.
The Ice Dawgs took a 4-0 lead after the first period of play when the teams met again Sunday morning. Hansen netted the first two, with an assist from Collins on the second. Barnett, assist C. Cornwell, scored the third and Honey, assist Hansen, put the fourth puck in Helena's net.
Barnett, assist C. Cornwell, scored the second period goal before the Bighorns forfeited the game.
Hansen was called for Glasgow's only penalty, serving time in the first for roughing.
The Bantams will be back on the ice Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 8-9, 2022, with games in Helena.
