Scottie S&D

The Scottie Speech and Drama team came up against some tough competition this past weekend when they attended the Laurel Invitational. With 31 schools and 344 competitors in attendance, only one Scottie made it to the finals.

Mason Swenson earned a third place finish in Memorized Public Address.

Many of the Scotties were just a couple of points from entering the finals and earning a top eight finish.

Harley Edwars, Dramatic Oral Interpretation, and Chase Tarum, Humorous Oral Interpretation, both earned 10th place finishes.

Fynn Sukut finished in 11th place in the Impromptu category. Gabe Proctor placed 17th in Humorous Oral Intepretation and Samantha Combs earned a 17th place finish in Dramatic oral Interpretation. Hailee Richardson was 21st in Humorous Oral Interpretation.

The Scotties will be attending the Culbertson Invitational this Saturday, Dec. 18, in their last meet of the calendar year. They will return to competition next year on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 7-8, at the Forsyth Invitation.
