Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913
Boy Scout Troop 861 has set up shop near the Boy Scout Food Booth at the fairgrounds to sell fresh cut Christmas trees to area residents celebrating the holiday. The Troop has carried on this annual tradition since 1976, both hand-cut and farm-raised trees at a variety of locations in Glasgow. This scout fundraiser stays 100% local to support the troop activities and scout camps.
The Scouts hope to see you there, and thank you for your support.
Due to nationwide shortages, there are no farm-raised trees this year, but there are plenty of hand-cut Douglas firs available. The Scouts put in extra work this year hand-cutting over 200 Douglas fir trees out of the Moccasin and Judith Mountains. There are great-looking trees ranging in size from 6 ft-15 ft. All trees, regardless of size, are $35. Pine boughs will also be available.
Come on down to the Fairgrounds to get your Christmas trees while they're available.
Although there won't be any specialty varieties available this year, organizers are hopeful they will return in 2022.
