Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913
A Glasgow man was arrested Nov. 24 after allegedly discharging a firearm in the downtown area.
At about 10:34 p.m., a witness called 911 to report gunshots fired somewhere near Campbell Lodge and the Oasis Bar. Another witness identified the shooter as William Hoerster. Dispatch kept the caller on the line until two Glasgow Police officers and three Valley County Sheriff's Deputies arrived on scene.
Police and deputies found Hoerster driving his pickup truck on Aiken and Hagen Roads southwest of Downtown, and conducted a high risk stop, which resulted in a successful arrest without incident.
Hoerster's pickup and other personal items were seized as evidence, and he was booked in Valley County Jail. Hoerster has since posted a $30,000 bond.
Hoerster faces a felony charge of criminal endangerment, and misdemeanor charges of third offense DUI, open container and defective tail lamps.
