Scottie Speech and Drama

The Glasgow Scottie Speech and Drama team brought out the broom again this past weekend with a First Speech Sweeps at the Malta Speech and Drama Invitational.

Fynn Sukut led the Glasgow delegation with his first place finish in Impromptu. Gabe Proctor earned a second-place finish in Humorous Oral Interpretation. Teammate Samantha Combs was right behind him in third place, also in Humorous Oral Interpretation.

Harley Edwards took third place in Dramatic Oral Interpretation. Mason Swenson finished in fifth place in Memorized Public Address. Hailee Richardson finished in eighth place in Humorous Oral Interpretation.

Coach Kristina McGee, in a social media post, said, "Scotties did amazing! All 6 students who attended the Malta Invitational placed Top 8!"

Glasgow returns to the competitive stage Saturday, Dec. 3, when they will attend the Boulder Invitational.
