Adventures in St. Marie
Yup-yup! Mr. Pup-Pup is back…. Home!
After escaping his collar, he took off and wandered the streets of Glasgow for three days, worrying his family as one can imagine!
He stopped and looked around put his nose in the air and took a good sniff and then realized he was in “the middle of nowhere!”
And, decided he better find his way home.
Mr. Pup-Pup or using his alias of “Dog” is Glasgow Courier editor Chris McDaniel and son Austin’s wayward pup.
Glad to hear he is back home and doing great although Chris stated that he did look hungry and all in all, everyone is happy.
Spooooooky!
As of Friday, October 22nd, our family and us are in Williston, North Dakota, where the annual Cottonwood Forest Pumpkin Patch and Haunted House is winding down.
Also included in these activities is a Zip Line, Corn Box, Bale Mountain, and much more.
Their last day was Sunday, October 24th.
We also took in the Fort Buford festivities which was on last Saturday, October 23rd.
Our family has joined in on the fun several times now and this year, according to Debbie Crossland, Assistant site superviser, who works at Fort Buford State Historic Site/Missouri Yellowstone Interpretive Center, the ghost walk was expanded this year!
The ghosts not only are at the cemetery but they have broke out of their earthly bonds to invade the Field Officer’s Quarters and Barracks!
There has always been refreshments and candy but this time it is at the soldiers Barracks.
These ghosts are in period costumes and tell their stories at how they met their fate, whether it be illness or Indian attack or other fateful event.
Debbie Crossland lives in Montana and commutes to her work at Fort Buford, North Dakota.
If you ever get a chance to visit there, I doubt if you will be sorry.
The history alone is so interesting and throughout the year they have certain projects or special events.
Condolences
We would like to send our condolences to the Thompson family for the loss of their loved one. It is sad at anytime of losing a family member but such a loss when one is so young is so sad.
We apologize for the late condolences of two Saint Marie residents!
To the family and friends of Mary Joanna Shelton we are so sorry for your loss.
We remember Joanna, especially as a very sweet person who would stop and talk to us when we would be in town shopping.
If we would have our grandson Michael with us, she always would stop and tease him with a big smile.
She stated before that she really enjoyed our column in The Courier and it made us feel great that we could put a smile on her face. You will be missed.
Family and friends of Donna Jean Glover, we are so sorry for your loss. We did not personally know Donna, but we wish her family and friends condolences for their loss.
