Nashua Runners Hit Poplar Invitational

The Porcupines took their high school girls team and both junior high teams to the Poplar Invitational cross country meet on Sept. 4. Lone high school runner Alyssa Murdock competed for Nashua. The senior ran a 32:29.36 to finish in 62nd place.

Alexus Ponder was the only middle school Porcupine to run for the girls team. The sixth-grader ran an 18:07.05 1.5 mile to finish in 71st place.

Nashua took three middle school boys to the meet. Sixth-grader Joseph Youpee ran a 10:52.50 and finished in 22nd place. Jackson Abern, seventh-grader, finished in 44th place with a time of 12:24.21. Seventh-grader David Ponder finished in 61st place after running a 15:59.63.
