Service of Civil Papers

Civil papers are legal documents that the Officers of VCSO are tasked to serve.

We make every attempt to locate and serve the respondent named on the legal document. We are paid process servers.

The plaintiff provides the name and last known address of the respondent based on their knowledge and information.

Civil papers range from summons and complaints (typically credit oriented),executions (aka garnishments), summons to appear (in court), and warrants of arrest, to name a few.

In every case, our task is to locate and serve the named respondent on the legal document no matter where they are located in Valley County -- at home, at work or in a nursing home.

When service is complete,d a signed Return of Service that shows the date, time, the address where papers were served and the officer completing the service is provided to the plaintiff or requesting party.

At times there are people who are not served because we learn they have moved out of the area or they are deceased.

A Return of Service is provided to the plaintiff that notes our findings in this scenario.

This completes the civil service transaction.
