Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913
July 4th and fireworks are behind us and most of us did not have fireworks to observe this year.
However I do remember fireworks of the past. I do not remember if my memories connect just where and when these fireworks occurred.
However, I do remember most fireworks of my young days in Glasgow were held at the Fair Grounds.
I recall fireworks that maybe featured a hen followed by little chicks, as well as many other animals and of course always ended with the American flag.
We still have spectacular fireworks, just different.
I have a feeling we may see fireworks on New Year's Eve, as I know that fireworks were offered for sale and many were sold.
Hopefully, we will have snow cover by then.
Fortunately, new items appear all the time and many of our young people entertained themselves and others with Glow Sticks.
Have you ever thought about flying on the eve of July 4th?
That might be quite a fascinating flight.
