Respiratory Clinic to be moved
into FMDH’s Main Facility
Move follows higher vaccination rates
As local COVID-19 cases decrease and vaccination rates rise, Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital continues to move forward toward a new normal. On Friday, April 30th FMDH will be moving the Respiratory Clinic from the Norma Oakland House (across from the hospital) into their main facility. The new process will include parking in the main entrance parking lot and being screened by the door monitors at the front door. Respiratory Clinic patients will then be led to a private waiting room in the new Respiratory Clinic area.
Anyone who is suffering from COVID-19 symptoms or has respiratory related concerns should call the FMDH Respiratory Clinic at 228-3509 to schedule an appointment.
FMDH Foundation supports STAT AIR with new pumps
Three new pumps added to airplanes
The Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital (FMDH) Foundation is helping STAT air deploy the best technologies by adding three new infusion pumps to their airplanes. The pumps they had previously been using were discontinued, large and had less options, according to a press release.
The new pumps are what many co-op hospitals are using, which means they are able to transfer the patient to the aircraft quicker. They will no longer have to change out pump tubing, and programming is much simpler on the new ones as well as much smaller for space and handling.
This is another way the Foundation is ensuring that the medical care in Valley County is of the highest quality.

Glasgow High Students compete in virtual event
Several students with Glasgow High School competed this month at the virtual Business Professionals of America (BPA) State Conference
“Like many other organizations, BPA has had to make drastic changes within the last year,” BPA Advisors Kristine McGee and Jill Page said in a press release. “However, most of the members making these changes work on a larger scale have been our students. It is simply amazing to see them adapt and work hard in such difficult times.”
In 2020, student Junior Raelee Dowden and former student Rachael Trinder qualify for Nationals. Both students were excited to travel, attend and compete at the Conference. However neither student was able to compete in their designated events due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“This year we also experienced some dramatic changes as students prepared to compete,” McGee and Page said. “We were lucky enough to compete in our division in person and attended Regionals in Lambert.”
The state conference is generally held in Billings, but was virtual this year.
“Even with the difficulties of an online conference, our students did well and many began to prepare for further work within BPA or compete at the National Conference,” McGee and Page said.
Dalton Sand is not competing at the National Conference this year, but is instead attending as a new Montana State Officer. He will serve as the Secretary for the 2021-2022 school year.
Eli Feezell, a freshman, was the first Glasgow High student to compete on April 26 in a test on Health and Medical Billing.
“He faced some challenges getting logged in and using a brand new platform,” McGee and Page said. “It was not the same one used at the state level.”
Raelee Dowden competed in two events in C++ Programming and C# Programming. Tarin Vandall and Kate Parks will compete in Podcast Production Team, a pilot competition this year.
Tanner White and Alesia Hopstad will compete in the Website Design Team. White also will compete in Individual Presentation Management.
“Having six students compete at the national level is great for our team as well as for the Montana Conference, which has over 400 students competing at the national level,” McGee and Page said.
BPA continues fundraising efforts with hope of sending students to the national competition next year in Texas.
