Jordan Cook, 14, freshman at Glasgow High School, was eager to volunteer this past week to move the Yard Wars accoutrement to the front yard of the Wiens' residence on the north side of Glasgow. To be rid of the colorful detritus, the Wiens needed to pay towards the Yard Wars fund. They got hit especially hard, with all four items placed in their yard at once. The monies go towards The Valley County Pool Campaign, which intends to construct a new pool to replace the existing Glasgow Pool, which opened in 1974. To date, the campaign has raised about $1.3 million out of a stated goal of $2.77 million.
