The Kiwanis-sponsored Glasgow Key Club attended the Montana District Convention last week. According to faculty advisor Kristina McGee, Key Club State was fully online this year. The Glasgow organization turned in all required paperwork for the State Conference and had six of their members attend, plus Kiwanis advisor, Dr. Charles Wilson. Key Club members attending were Ben Kompel, Ava Lloyd, Kate Parks, Nicole DeGreek, Emma Whitmer and Mason Swenson.
Swenson was sworn in as Lt. Governor for District 7 and will serve on the State Board for the 2021-2022 school year. Kompel, current Club President, applied for an open position on the board that was not filled on March 26.
The Club received the following awards for the 2021 Convention:
Distinguished Member Awards: Blaire Westby and Emma Whitmer
Distinguished Secretary Award: Kate Parks
1st Place Club Service Hours – 405 hours
1st Place Achievement Report Award – 119 points

McGee, to her surprise, was given the Outstanding Faculty Advisor Award.
