Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913
Patti Jean Hines, 59, passed away suddenly in Norco, CA on January 3, 2021. Patti was born April 19,1961 in Glasgow, MT, daughter of Myrtle Marie (Miller) Omvig and LeRoy Arthur Omvig. Patti was born and raised in Glasgow, MT where she met and married her husband Mike Hines. They were married July 7, 1979. They began their life journey in Glasgow and moved to Havre later that year. Their first son, Chris, came into their lives in 1984 and later that year they moved to Southern California. In 1988, their second son, Brandon, was born.
Patti thoroughly enjoyed traveling with Mike and watching the two boys play sports growing up, becoming team mom, trainer, sports psychologist, referee, umpire, and coach from the stands. Patti found her passion when she designed her first custom home and together with Mike, constructed it and moved into it in 1998. She always looked to her next adventure like, getting her private pilot license, sky diving, designing clothes, or raising a house full of dogs. Patti continued designing homes and building them together with Mike. Their fifth home, Patti's favorite, was built in Norco, CA. She loved Norco's title of "Horse Town USA". They moved into the home just before her passing.
Patti was preceded in death by her parents, Myrtle and LeRoy Omvig; one sister, Lori Omvig; and two nephews, Jason Hoiness and Jeff Jurgens.
