Margaret Lawson Palmer, 94, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2020, at Park Place Transitional Care and Rehab in Great Falls, Mont.

Margaret was born June 22, 1926, in Glasgow, Mont., to Frank and Victoria (Ramesz) Jakanoski. She attended schools in Glasgow and graduated from Glasgow High School. She was raised on the family farm southeast of Glasgow along with her two younger siblings, John Jakanoski and Sylvia Lagere.

As a young lady, Margaret worked at the Corp of Engineers Fort Peck Dam as a bookkeeper. She married Russell H. Lawson in Glasgow on December 26, 1945. The couple lived in Great Falls since. Margaret was a homemaker. They had two sons, John and Ron. Russell passed away on February 16, 1973.

Margaret later married Milford Palmer of Great Falls. She worked at their business, Milford Palmer Automotive Parts until Milford's retirement. Margaret was a member of Holy Family Parish. She was also a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Lady Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents; both siblings; and both husbands, Russell Lawson and Milford Palmer.

Margaret is survived by her sons, John H. (Ginger) Lawson of Casper, Wyo., and Ronald R. Lawson of Las Vegas, Nev .; four grandsons; Judd H. Lawson and Grant H. (Jamie) Lawson of Casper, Jonathon R. Lawson and Dylan Lawson of Las Vegas; five great-grandchildren; Chelsea (Jathan) Bennett of San Tan Valley, Ariz., Haleigh Lawson of Glasgow, Wyatt Lawson of Glasgow, Gannett  and Aaro Lawson of Casper; and two great-great-grandchildren; Alexa and Zane Bennett of San Tan Valley.
