City Of Glasgow Safety Measures

The City of Glasgow, along with Valley County, are closely monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) developments and following the Centers for Disease Control and the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services recommendations. Information is rapidly changing, and we are working to quickly identify how we can support our employees and their families who have essential service duties and keep our community safe.

The City of Glasgow has put the following safety measures in place until March 31, 2020:

The Glasgow Recreation Center will be closed.

Public Works Office will take phone calls to answer questions and to schedule appointments. All business requests will be answered and permits issued.

The Glasgow Police Department will answer all calls.

The Glasgow Fire Department will answer all calls.

Glasgow City Court will continue with court business but mostly by phone with limited exposure.

City Office will accept water payments in drop off box in front of Civic Center and will mail receipt. They will continue to provide assistance and information to the public with limit exposure.

City Street Department will continue their duties as usual with limited exposure to public.

City Water Department will continue their services as usual to provide clean drinking water and waste water services.

The City will continue to provide service for funerals.

There will be hand washing stations placed throughout city buildings.

All City Board meetings other than Council meetings will be canceled for the next month.

Library services are in place but asking for patrons to limit time in facility. Have canceled all out-reach programs.

MCA 7-34-4101: City may "do all acts which may be necessary to prevent the spread of infectious or contagious diseases within the city or town."
