Cooper Larson wresles a Malta wrestler at the Harlem Invitational on Jan. 25. Larson is wrestling with a black eye he sustained from getting hit in the face by the head of a competitor during duals with Poplar on Jan. 23 in Glasgow.
The Glasgow Scotties took home the top slot from Harlem on Jan. 25 after beating out every other team by over 45 points and placing seven competitors in first and two in second. The Scottie grapplers banked a total of 200.5 points beating out second-place Cut Bank who had 154 points and Malta with 113.5 points. In total, 11 teams competed in the late-season invite that sets the stage for the Malta Invitational this weekend (Jan. 31 and Feb. 1) and then the Divisional Tournament the week after (Feb. 8) in Huntley Project.
