Marlene Faith (Ouren) Patterson, 88, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2020, at Bethel Lutheran Home in Williston, N.D., where she had resided since June of 2015.
Cremation has taken place and burial will be at Lawndale Cemetery in Opheim, Mont., next to her parents in the summer of 2020.
Marlene was born on Aug. 8, 1931, to Orris and Orpha Ouren at Wildrose, N.D. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and had a great love for her Savior. Marlene’s education started in Park Grove, Mont., continued in Nashua, Mont., until she moved on and graduated with the class of 1949 from Opheim.
Her career began working for the MT State Employment Agency in Helena, Glasgow and Havre, Mont. In 1954, she became an airline stewardess for NW Orient Airlines and also Trans Texas Airlines. She later moved to Kirkland, Wash., becoming a real estate agent.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Raymond (Pat) Patterson.
Marlene is survived by one sister, Georgene Baustad, of Big Stone City, S.D.; two nieces, DuAnn (Tim), of Wildrose, and DiAnn (Brad), of Big Stone City; one nephew, Mick (Nancy) Whittle, of Centralia, Wash.; three great nephews; two great nieces; one great-great nephew; seven great-great nieces; many cousins and her very dear friend, Gloria Perez, of Auburn, Wash.
