Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913
The Glasgow Kiwanis Club’s annual membership recruitment meeting will be Wednesday, Jan. 15, at 5 p.m. at the Elks Club. If this interests you, come join us and learn more about how you can help. Kiwanis club members are inviting guests as potential members to join Kiwanis in serving the children of the world, one child and one community at a time.
Kiwanis International was formed in 1915, and the Glasgow Kiwanis Club was formed in 1923. Kiwanis sponsors the Glasgow Kiwanis Swim Team, Boy Scout Troop 861, the High School Key Club, the Middle School Builders Club, Salvation Army bell ringing, the BUG (Bring Up Grades) program in the schools, and many other projects. We sang Christmas carols at Nemont Manor, Valley View, and Prairie Ridge with assistance from school students. Glasgow hosted the Kiwanis state convention last August, and the next conventions will be in Bozeman and in Helena.
Kiwanis also participates in worldwide service projects such as preventing iodine deficiency and immunizing against maternal and neo-natal Tetanus. Our club meetings are generally held on the second and third Wednesdays, usually at the Cottonwood Inn at noon unless replaced by a special program.
Come join us Jan. 15, between 5 and 6 p.m. at the Elks Club and find out more.
