Calendar Of Upcoming Events In The Area

The Soroptimist Thrift Store is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4p.m., and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3p.m. Donations are always welcome and proceeds are used locally.

The Valley County Pioneer Museum will be closed the month of January.

FRIDAY – JAN. 10

Noon – Nashua Senior Citizens monthly meeting. Potluck will start at noon with meeting at 1 p.m.

SATURDAY – JAN. 11

7 p.m. - Evening Bingo at the Glasgow Senior Center, 328 4th Ave. S.

SUNDAY – JAN. 12

10 a.m. - 3 p.m. - Roller Skating at the Nashua Civic Center sponsored by the Nashua Lions Club. Cost is $1.50 per skater and everyone, regardless of age, is welcome.

MONDAY – JAN. 13

4:30 – 6:30 p.m. - Nashua Our Redeemer Lutheran Church Taco Supper, 115 Mabel Street, Nashua.

TUESDAY – JAN. 14

12:45 p.m. - Nickel Bingo at the Glasgow Senior Center.

5 p.m. - Valley County Refuse District #1 meeting at the Courthouse Community Room. The commission normally meets the third Tuesday of the month.

5:30 p.m. - Valley County Democrats meet in the City Council Room of the Civic Center the second Tuesday of each month. All meetings are open to the public.

6:30 p.m. - Saco Harvest Assembly Church’s Annual Women’s Dinner at the Church, 109 Nelson Street. For more info., call Becki at 648-5465.

WEDNESDAY – JAN. 15

1-4 p.m. - Veteran Service Officers will be at the Glasgow VA Clinic. Please bring a copy of your discharge paperwork (DD214).

5 p.m. - Kiwanis Membership Drive at the Elks Club.

THURSDAY- JAN. 16

9:30 – 11:30 a.m. - Veteran Service Officers will be at Malta City Hall. Please bring a copy of your discharge paperwork (DD214).

6-8 p.m. - Region 6 Hunting Proposal Meeting at the Cottonwood Inn banquet room. The public is encouraged to attend and provide comment on proposed hunting seasons and results for the next two years.
