Living At Nemont Manor

Dear Editor,

I am a resident of Nemont Manor and would like to express my gratitude and appreciation of the staff of same. I moved in about a year and a half ago to the Middle of Nowhere and was welcomed by a few of the other residents that live here.

I was having a rough time in my life when this opportunity opened so I would have a place to live.

In my short time here, I have seen residents come and go (thru death or moving out). Changes come if you live in a home of your own or in an apartment. I like it. This is small compared to places I have lived where there are up to 1,000 units on site to the very small four units.

It doesn't matter where you live, there are always things that need fixing or repairs. There will be neighbors you like and one you will not, but that is part of life.

Here at Nemont Manor I have a roof over my head, warm place out of the weather, indoor laundry mat, free Wi-Fi in the lobby with computers in the basement, mail service and good company.

There are card games of all kinds, cribbage, dominoes, pool, tabletop shuffleboard, bingo two times a week, movie night, Wii bowling, lead exercise two or three times a week and exercise equipment, Arts and Craft Social on Sunday afternoons. Oh yes, the monthly residents' meetings, potlucks, fingernail and toenail trims, foot reflexology and blood pressure checks.

Best of all we are close to shopping, the hospital and clinic, the park and swimming pool, Civic and Senior centers. Both our groceries and pharmacies will deliver orders. Most of all we have free bus rides Monday through Friday up until 5 p.m. then there a $3 fee each ride ($6 round trip).

Despite what people have said about Nemont Manor it is my home and I am very grateful to my lord God for it. Thank God my rent includes water, utilities and small laundry fee.

Come or call to talk to Char Arneson (Supervising Property Manager) for full details about qualifying. Stop by take a tour around my home it is a great place to live.

I am glad I live here.

Sincerely,

Diana Swisher
