Gladys I. Hulett

Gladys I. Hulett, age 95, peacefully passed away due to natural causes on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at the Northern Montana Care Center in Havre, Mont. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at the Northern Montana Care Center Grace Chapel, Havre. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.

Gladys was born on October 13, 1924 in Havre, the fifth of eight children born to Alexander and Ella (Starcke) McIntosh. She was raised on the family farm north of Havre and graduated from Havre High School in 1944. For several years, Gladys worked as the receptionist for Dr. McKenzie. In 1947, she married Ray Hulett and the couple had three daughters. They raised their girls in Havre, where Gladys later worked for JC Penney, in Central Supply and as a nurse's aide at the hospital for many years, and for a short time at St. Jude School. She was also employed at Yellowstone Park during the summer after her retirement.

Gladys was a quiet woman who valued education, her faith in God and dearly loved her children. She was health conscious and enjoyed the outdoors. Her greatest blessing in life was becoming a grandmother and she liked to make pies and treats for her children and grandchildren. Gladys was a hard worker and never complained. She will be remembered for her kindness to others and affection for animals. She lived independently and always had a cat or two and a faithful dog companion, Dusty, for many years. She enjoyed traveling, cooking meals, baking anything, growing plants, and most importantly visiting family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alexander and Ella McIntosh; sisters, Albertine Bosworth and Martha Smith; and brothers, Roderick, Robert, John, and Jimmy McIntosh; Ray Hulett and one great-grandson Lane Bashor.

Gladys is survived by her daughters Linda (Herman) Gonzales of Bozeman, Mont., Ella (Jim) Tweten of Nashua, Mont., and Raela (Courtney Tait) Hulett of Havre; grandchildren, Nikolai Gonzales, Leah (Cam) Bucher, Emily Gonzales, Kara (Ben) Fosland, and Kevin (Kaitlin) Tweten; Jeremy (Mary) Tweten, Benjy (Tanya) Tweten, three great-grandchildren, Abe, Tristan and Declan; brother Stuart (Carol) McIntosh and numerous nieces and nephews.

Please consider memorial donations to the Shriners' Hospital for Children, Boy's and Girl's Club or your favorite charity. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements and condolences for the family can be left at http://www.hollandbonine.com.

Her family would like to thank all her caregivers (past and present) at the Northern Montana Care Center and Valley View Home in Glasgow, Mont. for their wonderful care and compassion.
