Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913
The Glasgow High School Speech and Drama teams continued their first place streak at the Glasgow Invitational on Nov. 16 at GHS. With five first place finishes in humorous duo, humorous oral interpretation, memorized public address, impromptu and serious program of oral interpretation, the Scotties had their best showing yet on their home turf.
GHS Head Coach Jodi Griffin said the meet went great. "We had so much help and everything ran like clockwork," said Griffin, referring to the volunteers who assisted with judging, registration and other activities to help make the meet a success.
On the three first places in a row, Griffin was more than excited to talk up the team's season so far. "It's pretty unbelievable," she said. "These kids just rack up the points every week with top places. So, we are just dominating in sweeps points."
The Scottie thespians and orators will make their way to Circle for that school's meet on Nov. 23.
