Calendar of Upcoming Events in the Area

For September and October, the Valley County Pioneer Museum is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Fort Peck Interpretive Center is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily through the end of September. Powerhouse tours are available at regular times daily through Labor Day, Sept. 2. Both are free. Call 406-526-3493 for more information.

THURSDAY – SEPT. 26

6 p.m. - GHS All Class Reunion meeting at the Glasgow Elks Lodge.

7 p.m. - Bingo at The Manor (Nemont) basement. Open to the public.

FRIDAY – SEPT. 27

5:30 – 7 p.m. - VFW First Steak Fry of the season at the Glasgow VFW. All proceeds will go towards the scholarship fund. All are invited.

SATURDAY – SEPT. 28

8 – 11:30 a.m. - Pancake breakfast by the Fort Peck Senior Citizens at the downstream campground shelter #4 in coordination with the Glasgow Invitational Cross Country meet.

10:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. - Heirloom Quilters 30th Anniversary Celebration at the Evangelical Church for all quilters in the area.

5 p.m. - 15th Annual Firemen’s BBQ Fundraiser. Dinner starts at 5 p.m. and music will start at 7 p.m.

10 p.m. - 6 a.m. - GHS Leadership Class Annual Homeless Night at the Pioneer Museum.

MONDAY – SEPT. 30

Noon to 1 p.m. - Strong People Program offered by the Valley County Extension Office. The 12-week program will begin Sept. 30 with two class times available, Mondays & Wednesdays from noon to 1 p.m. or Tuesdays & Thursdays from 6 to 7 p.m.

2 p.m. - Bingo at The Manor (Nemont) basement. Open to the public.

3:30 p.m. - Auditions for the Missoula Children’s Theatre production of “Johnny Appleseed” at Irle School.

TUESDAY – OCT. 1

9 a.m. - 3 p.m. - Big Muddy FFA District Livestock & Agronomy Career Development event in Hinsdale.

9 – 10 a.m. - Influenza Clinic to receive flu shots at the Fort Peck Town Hall.

10 a.m. - Charles M. Russell Community Working Group meeting at the Jordan VFW Hall.

1-3 p.m. - Hinsdale Alumni Livestock Judging for local youth at the Hinsdale Rodeo-grounds.

2-3 p.m. - Influenza Clinic to receive flu shots at Opheim NorVal Electric.

3:30 – 4:30 p.m. - Influenza Clinic to receive flu shots at the St. Marie Community Office Building.

7 – 9 p.m. - Rhythm & Ramble, a jazz small group at the Glasgow High School auditorium as part of the Northern Arts network Big Sky Series.

WEDNESDAY – OCT. 2

10 – 11 a.m. - Influenza Clinic to receive flu shots at the former Shopko parking lot.

11:30 – 12:30 p.m. - Influenza Clinic to receive flu shots at the Nashua Senior Citizen Center.

2:30 – 3:30 p.m. - Influenza Clinic to receive flu shots at the Hinsdale Legion Hall.
