Pass It On

Dear Editor,

Arlie Gordon, on Aug. 20, put this article on Facebook and ask [sic] that people pass it on.

"I may upset a few of you by posting this. We can handle it one of two ways. Discuss it like adults or you can unfriend me – your choice. You have your opinions and I have mine. Before anyone gets their panties in a wad, I add that my ancestors came here from other countries and they learned the language and worked and never once did I hear any of them trash America. They became citizens, were proud to be one and some served in the military! I am nice to everyone and I have no problem with anyone coming here and making a good life for themselves and their families. BUT if you are coming here and expect us to become what you just came from, then that's not happening.

Return and work on your country and make it better where you can be proud to live in it.

I agree with what President Trump said: Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told on Wednesday to get out of America, as the government targeted radicals in a bid to head off potential terror attacks. TRUMP angered some American Muslims on Wednesday by saying he supported spy agencies monitoring the nation's mosques.

"Quote: 'Immigrants not Americans must adapt'.....Take it or leave it. I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attack, we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Americans. This culture has been developed over two centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom. All we ask is that you live in harmony and peaceful enjoyment with us. This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this. But once you are done complaining and whining about OUR FLAG, OUR PLEDGE, OUR PAGAN BELIEFS, OR OUR WAY OF LIFE, I highly encourage you to take advantage of one other great American freedom, THE RIGHT TO LEAVE. If you aren't happy here, then LEAVE. We didn't force you to come here. You asked to be here. So accept the country that accepted you.

NOTE: If we circulate this among ourselves, WE will find the courage to start speaking and voicing the same truths. If you agree, please SEND THIS ON and as for those who disagree, move to a third world country and live there."

I agree with Arlie Gordon. My parents lived during both World Wars and they were not afraid to speak out when someone was disgracing our flag or our country. They knew the struggles of fighting for freedom. I also agree with President Trump. He is a very smart man and if the stupid Democrats, Republicans and Socialists would start working with him to make this a better country instead of doing everything they can to pull it apart and destroy it, can you imagine how great this country would be?
