Theresa Mae (Fuhrman) Sather passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2019, in Bozeman, Mont., at the age of 94.
A visitation will be held on Friday, Aug. 2, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Bell Mortuary in Glasgow.
Services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Glasgow, Mont., on Saturday, Aug. 3, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at the Highland Cemetery.
Theresa was born on Dec. 25, 1924, in Baylor, Mont., to Kon C. Fuhrman and Emma (Miller) Fuhrman. Theresa attended Glasgow High School and Northern Montana College, and lived her life in several places, including, Larslan, Mont., Glasgow, Appache-Junction, Ariz., Fairfield, Mont., and Bozeman, Mont. She had several occupations in her lifetime, including mother, housewife, and taught school for seven years.
Theresa was involved with many community activities such as Cowbelles, Red Hat, First Baptist Church and Degree of Honor. Theresa and Menford enjoyed traveling the country, sightseeing and spending time with friends and family. She continued to travel and attend her children, grand-children and great- grandchildren's weddings, concerts, graduations, sporting events and more. Theresa was able to enjoy many excursions while living in Bozeman with her dear friend Helen. She always enjoyed her outings to have her hair and nails done, finishing up with a quick trip to Burger King for her favorite "Whopper Jr." While she will always be remembered for her love of cards, bingo, and penny slots, we will also remember the many gifts of her croqueting, needle point and embroidering.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kon and Emma Fuhrman; her husband, Menford Sather; and two sisters, Helen Rennick, and Imojean Helgeson.
She is survived by one daughter, Elaine R. Watterud (Donald); two sons, Menford "Bud" L. Sather (Diane) and Larry D. Sather (Susan); two sisters, Hilda Rosecrans and Adeline Mitchell; nine grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
