No-Hitter, Triple Dingers Highlight Games vs. WoPo

The Glasgow Reds faced the Wolf Point Yellowjackets in a double-header in Wolf Point on June 26.

The action began with the first game at 5:30 p.m., which ended with Glasgow on top 16-2. The trio of Tel Aune, Kaden Fossum and Darrin Wersal teamed up to launch three home runs in the game, driving in six runs on the three hits.

Aune led with four RBIs in the game, followed by Fossum with three, and Legare and Dylan Nieskens with two each. While Aune also recorded a triple in the game, he was unable to complete the cycle with a double in the contest.

Chase Guttenberg earned the win on the mound for the Reds. He allowed three hits and one run over four innings, striking out eight and walking zero. Mark Eliason provided relief in the final inning and was credited with the save as he recorded the last three outs of the game.

The Yellowjackets didn't show up for the second game of the night as they were shut-out by the Reds, who scored 26 runs in the five-inning contest.

At the plate, Cale Swanson led his team by driving in five runs. He went 2-for-5 at the plate, bringing in runs on two doubles in the second, a groundout in the third, and a walk in the fifth.

While Glasgow was on fire offensively, scoring 26 runs off 21 hits, the real star of the game was Gavin Adkins. Adkins delivered a no-hitter, striking out 11 and walking one.
