Mental Health Walk Rescheduled

The annual Mental Health Awareness walk scheduled for May 4 was postponed but the CARE Mental Health Committee wants the community to know the new date is Tuesday, May 21, at 5:30 p.m.

A committee person was asked if it was necessary to reschedule. The answer: one in five people is affected in some way by mental illness and that means that several hundred in Valley County are affected. If the Walk can cause any lessening of stigma, or lead to just a few of those hundreds to seek help, then the Committee has to make the effort again.
