Valley County Free Tree Day 2019 will be held on May 16 on the east lawn of the Valley County Courthouse, starting at 7:30 a.m.
A total of 932 trees will be given away during this one day event, including 150 Prairie Sky Poplar (cottonless), 150 Common Lilac, 100 Golden Currant, 150 Chokecherry, 150 American Plum, 100 Caragana and 100 Buffaloberry.
There is a limit of five trees per household, and trees will be given out on a first come basis.
Free Tree Day 2019 is funded by generous businesses and people of Valley County, including contributing organizations the Nashua Gumbo Gals and the MSU Extension Services.
