Nashua's Laumeyer Breaking Records for Minot State

Minot State University freshman Taylor Laumeyer set a new DII school record in the shot put on April 20 at the Long Beach State Beach Invitational in Long Beach, Calif. The Nashua native recorded a mark of 12.55 meters to set the DII school record and win her flight. "I thought we had a fantastic few days of competition and everyone rose to the occasion and competed with some of the best schools in the country," said head coach Mark Del Monaco. "I could not be happier for Taylor. She deserves this record because of her preparation and work ethic. Hats off to Coach Gust who has done a fantastic job working with her." Laumeyer was the lone Minot State athlete to compete on Saturday.
