Seasons End for Lady Scotties in Northern B

The Lady Scotties fought hard at the Northern B Divisional Tournament held in Malta, Feb. 21-23, but were unable to secure a spot in the state tournament. They finished their 2018-2019 season with an impressive run in the District 2B tournament last week and some of their best games in Malta this past weekend.

Glasgow had to enter the divisional tournament the hard way, winning a play-in game just to have a spot on the real tournament bracket.

Although they lost their first game at divisionals to Cut Bank 65-56, they didn't give up and defeated the Conrad Cowgirls 59-51 to stay alive.

Arguably their biggest game of the tournament was held on Saturday when the Lady Scotties faced the Malta M-Ettes in another loser-out contest. Malta is always difficult to beat on their home court, but Glasgow made it look easy. They defeated the M-Ettes 44-33 and eliminated them from the divisional tournament in front of their home crowd.

The Lady Scotties returned Saturday evening to take on Fairfield in the consolation game, but couldn't muster the offense needed to defeat the Lady Eagles and lost 44-30, bringing the season to a close.
