Colter Barnett scores a short-handed goal during a home game vs. Miles City on Feb. 3.
The Glasgow Ice Dawgs bantam team went 2-1-1, playing two games in Miles City on Feb. 2, and two on home ice Feb. 3. In the first game on Saturday, Miles City surged to a 3-0 lead early in the second. Glasgow rallied on three answering goals before Miles City clinched the win with 2:06 left in the game. Going up on the board for the Dawgs first was Colter Barnett, followed by Michael Hoyer, assisted by Lexten Fairclough. Tatum Hansen registered Glasgow's final goal in the 4-3 loss. Goalie Aiden Wilkowski turned away 13 of 17 shots, while the Dawgs converted on three of their 27 shots.
Glasgow registered a notch in the win column in game two, scoring five goals to Miles City's two. Barnett found the back of the net twice in the first, assisted once by Hansen. Hoyer made it 3-0. In the second period it was Barnett twice again, once on a power play and once at even strength. Wilkowski let in only two of 14 shots. The Dawgs scored on five of their 31 shots on goal.
Sunday saw the Ice Dawgs facing off against Miles City before a home crowd. Miles City scored twice in the first before Hansen, assisted by Trevor Dulaney, got one behind the goalie. Barnett registered the last goal of the game in the second for a final tie at 4-4. Glasgow outshot Miles City, 35-20.
Glasgow finished strong for the final game of the weekend, racking up a 7-2 victory. Miles City got two goals up on the scoreboard before the Ice Dawgs took full control of the game. Barnett tied the game at two a piece in the first period, and racked up two more goals in the second, assisted by Hoyer on the two goals in period two. Hoyer himself scored Glasgow's fifth goal in the third, before Barnett threw in his final two of the game. Glasgow scored on seven of 32 shots on goal and turned away 16 shots in their own end.
