Join the Emperor, his friends and subjects, and the busy Silkworms when the Missoula Children’s Theatre and more than 50 local students present an original musical adaptation of the Hans Christian Andersen classic, The Emperor’s New Clothes.
Playing the title character of the Emperor is local resident Noah Runner. Other featured performers include Samantha Helm as ManyPenny, Riley Clampitt as Royal Scholar Roxy, and Annika Smith as Royal Scholar Red. The Queens will be Addison Jones, Amber Pearson, Amelia Gilchrist and Mirax Lipscomb. The Money Council will be Jorden Mix, Roman Fast, James Pearson, Emmah Mix, Ava Runner and Toni Williams. Gem is Jourdyn Fercho while the Royal Jewelers are Haleigh Huntsman, Jensina Tweten, and Emerson Gutow. Boots is Jovee Morehouse and the Royal Cobblers are Timothy Pearson, Silas Runner and Paxton Wesen. The Royal Hatters, Eva Hlad and Zelaah Darlington, will be led by Niyoka Harris as Lid. The Royal Tailors will be played by Daniel Seeler White and Mali Allen with Nichole DeGreek as Stitch. And finally, the Royal Silkworms will be played by Ella Gilchrist, Allen DeGreek, Christian DeGreek, Autumn Pearson, Callen Gutow, Lyla Marlenee, Sarah Runner and Illiana Darlington. Serving as assistant director is Hannah Anderson.
The Emperor’s New Clothes will be presented at Glasgow High School this Friday, Jan. 18, at 7 p.m., and Saturday, Jan. 19, at 11 a.m. Tickets available at the door: $6 adults and $4 students/seniors.
