Agnes Florence Dorothy (Kegel) Erickson, age 91, passed away Friday, Dec. 28, 2018, at the Phillips County Hospital.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 3, at the Saco Lutheran Church. Interment will be in the Reitan Cemetery, north of Saco, Mont.
Agnes was born April 14, 1927, to Charles and Anna (Houska) Kegel in Turner, Mont. She was the youngest of 10 children.
Mom attended Little Jewell School, Turner High School and Northern Montana College. Upon graduation, she worked as a bookkeeper at the Malta Trafton-Dorr Store and the Whitefish Moulton Lumber Company.
On Oct. 3, 1948, Aggie married David Erickson and started a wonderful relationship lasting 69 years. They shared their life together on the Charles Hess homestead where they raised five children.
Mom enjoyed dancing, traveling, playing cards, sewing, knitting, and spending time with family. She loved her flowers, watching birds, working in her yard, and helping on the farm/ranch. Anyone who ever met Aggie fell in love with her spunky personality and her kind-heartedness.
She was preceded in death by her husband David; one son, Gary, parents Charles and Anna; six brothers, Art, Fred, Charles, Wesley, Ken and Marvin; two sisters, Alice and Marjorie; one great-grandson, Bryor Erickson; and one great-great-grandson, Cash Plouffe.
She is survived by two sons, Mike (Diane) Erickson and Lyle (Joyce) Erickson, of Saco; two daughters, Connie (Alan) Wasson, of Loring, Mont., and Diane (Will) Eklund, of Saco; one sister, Ethel Cowell, of Harlem, Mont .; 19 grandchildren; 55 great grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren.
