Opheim Gym Roof Update

Dear Editor,

This letter is to update the public regarding the Opheim Public School gymnasium roof. First, both CTA Architects and Engineers from Billings and Southland Construction from Scobey have been hired to complete the gym project.

Second, per Kevin Feldman, Structural Engineer with CTA, we are entering the final phases of the gymnasium roof repair. We fully anticipate that our gym will reopen in time for our first home basketball game on Dec. 20. Our Athletic Director has coordinated with St. Raphel's, Evangelical Church, and the Glasgow Civic Center to ensure both the Opheim's Boys' Basketball Team and Nashua-Opheim's Girls' Basketball Team have access to practice facilities while our gym is closed.

Next, I would like to thank Opheim's students and staff for their flexibility and resiliency during this challenging time. I have been thoroughly impressed on how well everyone has pulled together in the face of adversity.

Finally, as always, the health, safety and welfare of our students, staff and community has been and will always be our district's number one priority.
