District Tourney in Poplar This Weekend
The Glasgow volleyball squad hosted Sidney for Pink Night on Oct. 18. Despite some good, scrappy play from the Scotties, the Lady Eagles came back from an 0-2 deficit to win the match over Glasgow in five sets: 24-26, 17-25, 25-21, 25-21, 15-8.
Junior Keely Fossum led the team in three categories, racking up nine of 40 kills, six of seven blocks and four of 14 aces. Rachelle Glaser, a sophomore setter for the Lady Scotties, recorded 20 of 23 total assists and 15 of 39 digs.
On Oct. 20, Glasgow hosted Glendive for senior night. The Lady Scotties were unable to gain any momentum and lost the match vs. the Lady Red Devils in three sets: 14-25, 20-25, 16-25.
Glasgow finished the regular season 8-4 overall and 6-2 in conference play. The district tournament will be held in Poplar beginning Friday, Oct. 26. The Scotties are scheduled to play the Malta M-Ettes that morning at 11:30 a.m.
