Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913

Northeast Montana Ag Expo Coming to Glasgow

Farmers, ranchers, and community members alike are asked to mark Friday, Oct. 12, on their calendar. It is on this date that the inaugural Northeast Montana Ag Expo will be held at the Valley Event Center.

“Northeast Montana is rich in agriculture,” says Chamber Ag Committee Chair Haylie Shipp. “There is no reason that our area farmers and ranchers should have to travel to Billings or Great Falls to hear from top-notch speakers or see the latest in agribusiness.”

To make the Northeast Montana Ag Expo a success, the Chamber is pooling its resources from two existing events. The New Trends in Agriculture day-long seminar, that has historically been held in January, will now be held in conjunction with the Chamber’s Annual Ag Appreciation Banquet/Night of Honors.

With an elevated number of speakers, attendees will have the opportunity to pick and choose from five different breakout sessions during the day, free of charge. A trade show will fill the Valley Event Center and is open to everyone from equipment dealers to home-based businesses.

The Third Annual Ag Appreciation Banquet/Night of Honors will be held that evening. This event, which is geared towards honoring those in agriculture and our numerous area volunteers, is open to the entire community, as is the Northeast Montana Ag Expo in its entirety. The evening will end with a free Harvest Dance featuring live music.
