Osteo1 won the Big Sky State Games softball tournament held July 20-22 in Billings. They finished undefeated, beating The Loft (Billings) 14-2, BSG (Billings) 22-13, Bad News Bears (who had locals Juice and John Fischer playing with them) 10-7, and HRC (Lewistown-Havre) 21-18 to move into the championship game. HRC made it back to the championship game through the losers bracket to set up a rematch. Unlike the previous game, this one was a low-scoring defensive gem with the score being 5-5 through six innings. Osteo1 broke through with 4 runs in the top of the final frame to take a 9-5 lead, and held on to win 9-6.
