A handful of runners from Glasgow traveled to Missoula to participate in the Missoula Marathon July 13 – 15.
Some chose to do the half-marathon, while others jumped in with both feet and ran the full marathon, which is a Boston Marathon qualifier. Both races were ran on Sunday the 15th and began at 6 a.m.
The 26.2 mile course began in Frenchtown and ended in downtown Missoula.
Opting to run the full course were the more seasoned runners: Craig Overby, Andrew McKean, Tim Phillips and Emma Fewer.
Competing in the half marathon were: Tyler Viste, Ellis McKean, Wilson Overby and Merlin McKean.
According to race participant Philips, everybody exceeded their goals and had a great day.

Full Marathon:
Emma Fewer - 46th of 473 women, 181st overall of 1,034 finishers, 4 of 23 in the 20-24 age group: 3:45:00
Andrew McKean - 151st of 561 men, 203rd overall of 1,034 finishers, 11 of 59 in the 50-54 age group: 3:48:19
Craig Overby - 193rd of 561 men, 275th overall of 1,034 finishers, 16 of 59 in the 50-54 age group: 3:57:31
Tim Phillips - 47th out of 561 men, 57th overall of 1,034 finishers, 2 of 59 in the 50-54 age group: 3:17:20
Half Marathon:
Merlin McKean - 42nd of 807 men, eighth of 45 in the 15-19 age group: 1:28:21.40
Ellis McKean - 43rd of 807 men, ninth of 45 in the 15-19 age group: 1:28:21.53
Wilson Overby - 54th of 807 men, 11th of 45 in the 15-19 age group: 1:30:56.54
Tyler Viste - 297th out of 807 men, 44th of 102 in the 35-39 age group: 1:58:14.78
