Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913
Dear Readers,
It is hard to believe it has been over two months since I started as the publisher here at the Courier. Harder to believe is everything that has happened in such a short amount of time. Not only have we covered oil spills, meth labs, a packed commissioner’s race, a controversial sheriff’s race and we even managed to get the Courier on NBC Nightly News, but we have also painted, cleaned out some old stuff and started returning hard copy photos.
It has been a whirlwind for sure, but we have tried our hardest to be timely, accurate and thorough. I like to think we have done just that and where we have not been any of those things we have owned it and sought to correct it. I have learned a lot.
I have heard from some of you that the paper is looking great and the content has made for good reading. Still others have taken issue with where we seem to be taking the Courier and its content, but generally the feedback has been rewarding and has motivated us to keep up the good work.
I encourage you to write us, call us, email us or stop in (you can see the new paint job; thanks Jewel) and talk to us about what you think. I am not saying I take every piece of advice but I certainly listen.
Sincerely,
A.J. Etherington
The Courier
