Fort Peck Interpretative Center Open For the Season

The Fort Peck Interpretative Center is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Come learn about the construction history of the Fort Peck Dam, be greeted by a life size, fleshed-out model of Peck’s Rex, the Tyrannosaurus Rex discovered 20 miles southeast of Fort Peck in 1997, marvel at the two largest aquariums in Montana displaying the fish of Fort Peck Lake and the Missouri River and view exhibits including the wildlife, habitats and scenery of the Charles M. Russell National Wildlife Refuge and Fort Peck Lake.

Every weekend during the summer months there will be activities for children of all ages, with this weekend’s activities focusing on mammals, their fur, tracks and the food chain.

Power House tours are available with tours starting at 9:30 a.m. and each hour thereafter on Saturdays and Sundays, with the last tour starting at 4:30 p.m. On weekdays, including holidays, tours will be offered every other hour beginning at 9:30 a.m., with the last tour starting at 3:30 p.m., through Labor Day.

Tours and admission to the Interpretative Center are free.
