Ray Hassler

Ray Hassler, 93, of Saint Maries, Idaho, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 3, 2018, at Valley Vista Care Services in Saint Maries.

He was born in Nashua, Mont., to Veronica and George Hassler. He was a long-time north Nashua farmer. He enjoyed hunting, boating and playing music.

He is survived by one sister, Mary Benita, of the Monastery of St. Gertrude in Cottonwood, Idaho; one son, Joe Hassler, of Missoula; three daughters, Jan Oliverie of Dallas, Texas, Laura Payne of Caldwell, Idaho and Rita Ballard of Granbury, Texas; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

As he requested, a private ceremony was held at Coeur d'Alene Lake.
