Jeanette E. (Brenden) Forest, 81, passed away on Monday, Feb. 19, 2018, surrounded by her family.
Cremation has taken place and Bell Mortuary of Glasgow is assisting the family. A Celebration of Jeanette's life will take place on Monday, March 26, at 10 a.m. in the Bell Mortuary Chapel, at 701 2nd Ave South in Glasgow. Inurnment will take place later in the Forest family plot in the Poplar Cemetery.
Jeanette was the firstborn child of John and Esther (Opland) Brenden on Oct. 16, 1936, in Glasgow, Mont. She was educated in Nashua and graduated from Nashua High School.
On Aug. 10, 1953, she married O.K. Forest, and to this union they had three children: Deena, Mike and Kim. They made their home in Glasgow and a few years later moved to Wolf Point to run the Wolf Point Ready-Mix.
She had many talents, some of her favorites were sewing, stained glass, planting flowers and making unique floral arrangements. She enjoyed bowling and was an avid reader. She was always doing a project. She went on wagon trains and rodeos in her early years, giving tours at the Fort Peck Dam and spent 10 years designing at the Glasgow Flower Shop.
After retiring, they moved to Park Grove by Fort Peck, later moved to Bullhead City, Ariz., to enjoy the warm weather until making their way back to Glasgow near family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Dick Brenden; and a daughter, Deena DeWitt.
Survivors include her husband, O.K., of 64 years; a son, Mike Forest and his wife, Laura, of Peerless, and their children, Chad and his wife, Jackie, of Richland, and Kyla Forest of Billings; a daughter, Kim Visser and her husband, Dennis, of Williston, N.D., and their children, Jade of Denver, Colo., and his daughter, Brianna, of Minnesota; Ryan and his children, Kaeley and Elijah of Williston; and Jaclyn Bohanon and her husband, Casey, of Lebanon, Tenn. The children of the late Deena DeWitt: Stacey DeWitt and her children, Walker DeWitt and his wife, Shayna, and Slade Martinez, all of Billings, and Maestro Martinez of Wolf Point; Justin/Arden DeWitt and their children, Miexel and LaSandra DeWitt, all of Wolf Point; three sisters, Darlene Ramsbacher and her husband, John, of Missoula, Betty Trueblood and her husband, Daryl, of Kalispell and Susan Vertz and her husband, Dale, of Tucson, Ariz.; and a brother, Gary Brenden and his wife, Jo, of Saint Augustine, Fla., and numerous nieces and nephews.
