Donna Dolores (Skotland) Ogrinc passed away Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018, at the age of 92 at the Mat-Su Regional Center in Palmer, Alaska, surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be celebrated Friday, March 2, at 1 p.m. at St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Glasgow with Father Jose officiating, followed by burial at the Glasgow Highland Cemetery.
She was born Oct. 8, 1925, to Mahlon and Rose Skotland in Willow City, N.D., and raised in New Rockford, N.D. She graduated from college in Moorhead, Minn., with a degree in teaching. She taught school in Grenora, N.D., in the late 40s, and then in Glasgow in 1949, where she met and married Dr. Carl Ogrinc O.D. on Dec. 29, 1950.
After raising six children, she went back to work running the local Montgomery Ward store, and then as a teacher in Nashua in the early seventies.
She enjoyed weekends at the family cabin at Fort Peck, golfing and playing bridge.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, who passed Sept. 9, 1998.
Survivors include six children, Timothy Ogrinc of Glasgow, Cynthia Stevenson of Mesa, Ariz., Shawn Ogrinc of Tucson, Ariz., Pamela Ogrinc of Helena, Nancy Morganflash of Wasilla, Alaska and Lisa Allen of Helena; 13 grandchildren: Jennifer Stevenson MacFarland, Christie Stevenson Hawkins, Angela Helland Hansen, Dr. Luke Helland, Nacia Helland Bonilla, Carl Ogrinc, Colton Hill, Kevin Hill, Alliea Nyenhuis, Anna Morganflash, Zachariah Morganflash, Jordan Morganflash, Jessica Morganflash; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was a wonderful mother and will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
