Lona B. (Hanson) Highfill, 87, of St. Marie, Mont., passed away Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018, at Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital in Glasgow.
She was born on April 16, 1930, growing up in the south bay area of Los Angeles, Calif. She moved to St. Marie in 1994, always loving Montana.
She did things her way and was very well liked and respected. She lived a full live and had five husbands, Ray Watson, Fred Karr, Barney Barnes, Carl Rogers and Paul Highfill.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Highfill; one daughter, Kitty Elaine (Karr) Stockdale; one son, Tim Kane; her mother, Vera (Duke) Hanson, of California and Texas; one brother, Russ Hanson, of California and Ohio; one uncle, L. Ross Hanson Jr., and her grandfather, Leslie Russell Hanson, Sr.
She is survived by two sons, Don Watson, of St. Marie, and Johnny Sterling Barnes, of Monument Valley, Ariz .; and one sister, Mary Ridenour, of Tucson, Ariz.
