Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913
Meredith Ann (Tryan) Jensen was born April 24, 1942, in Scobey Mont., and went to her heavenly home for Christmas on Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017, at the age of 75.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 29, at Zion Lutheran Church in Flaxville, and burial in Flaxville cemetery next to her beloved husband.
She was born the eighth of nine children to Albert and Winnifred (Krassin) Tryan. She was raised in Flaxville, and graduated from Flaxville High School in 1960. She attended Dahl's Beauty College in Billings and after graduation returned to the Flaxville and Scobey communities where she lived until her passing.
She met Anders Jensen at a rodeo in Flaxville and they were married June 4, 1966. They made their home south of Flaxville where they raised their two children, Kurt and Kalu, and spoiled their granddaughters, Torri and Jaycie. Meredith loved being a homemaker, mother and grandmother and her talents and creativity where unending. She grew large and bountiful gardens and her yard was always a display of her beautiful flowers. She loved to bake and always had something delicious ready whenever anyone would stop by. She created many beautiful works on her sewing machine and her family still enjoys the warmth from many of her quilts and crocheted blankets. She had a wonderful sense of humor and laughing and smiling were always abundant when she was around. She loved her family dearly and was always very present in the lives of her children and grandchildren. Her sisters were her lifelong best friends.
After the passing of her husband in 2015, she spent her time in Glasgow with her daughter and granddaughters and then eventually moving to Sheridan Memorial Nursing Home in Plentywood, where she resided until her passing.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Anders; two sisters, Elaine and Mary Lou; and one brother, Ben.
She is survived by one son, Kurt Jensen and his wife, Monica, of Billings; one daughter, Kalu Jensen-Rogenes, two grandchildren Torri and Jaycie Rogenes all of Glasgow; three sisters, Marjorie Jarmer, Corinne French and Linda Severson; two brothers, Billy and Gary Tryan; one sister-in-law, Margit Jensen; and many nieces and nephews that she loved so dearly.
Her family would like to thank the caregivers of Sheridan Memorial Nursing Home for their care of their mother and to her much-loved niece, Kim Garberg, for her endless love and laughs and care shared with their mother.
Waller Funeral Home has charge of services.
