Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913
Joy Guttenberg’s good (edible) works are known to many in the Glasgow area. That’s about to become truer still. Guttenberg’s Apple Trolley has moved next-door to Albertsons on Highway 2 into the space formerly occupied by The Worx. And no, she isn’t carrying on with scrapbooking or DVDs, but she is adding breakfast items to an already popular menu which includes some of the region’s very best sweets, soups and sandwich offerings.
According to Guttenberg, the family-owned business started out making caramel apples as part of a fundraiser for Relay for Life. These were such a hit, the team expanded production and started taking their goodies to shows and events. The word spread from there and soon the business had its first storefront in Glasgow located next to Crazy Woman Quilts.
Apart from delicious breakfast items like the biscuits and gravy I ordered at press time ($5), the biggest change for regular customers seems to be the drive-thru access on the building’s west side. The Guttenbergs aren’t offering espresso drinks at this time, but drip coffee and something to eat can be had on the fly.
For more information, visit the 54171 Hwy 2 location or call Guttenberg at 406-228-2915. Hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 3 p.m weekdays. Visit their website at appletrolley.com.
