Nashua Children’s Shopping Spree that allows Nashua students to shop for gifts for their family at a cost of 25 cents at Nashua School.
9:30 a.m. - The Nashua Community is invited to the Ladies’ Coffee Hour every Thursday at the Nashua Senior Center.
1-4 p.m. - Retirement Party Open House for Sherri Daggett at Farm Service Agency.
7-8 p.m. - Grief Support Group, GriefShare at the Glasgow Evangelical Church every Thursday through Dec. 21.
FRIDAY – DEC. 15
10 a.m. - Opheim Church women fill gift cans at the Opheim Community Church. Please bring empty coffee cans and Christmas treats to fill the cans.
SATURDAY – DEC. 16
9 a.m. - 2 p.m. - Photos with Santa Claus at Farm Equipment Sales.
9-11 a.m. - Pancakes and a Santa visit at Pip’s Diner in Saco. Sleigh rides begin at 1 p.m. and ice skating open all day. 1-4 p.m. - Hot Toddies at The Old Brand Saloon. More info, call Heidi at 406-527-3353 or drop by Pip’s at 207 Taylor Street, Saco.
2 p.m. - Benefit for Madison Dahl, daughter of Shyla Hinton and Tanner Dahl and granddaughter of Ed and Debbie Hinton of Glasgow, at Banjo’s in Scobey. Live auction starts at 2 p.m. followed by a chili feed for a freewill donation. Drop off items for sale or money donations at Banjo’s, the BS Central in Glasgow or the Mint Bar in Opheim.
3 p.m. - Tallow Creek Christmas Program followed by potluck treats. (Anything with peanuts is to be avoided.) For directions to South Phillips County Schoolhouse, write [email protected]. Everyone welcome.
6:30 p.m. - Johnny Holm Band at Glasgow Civic Center. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with music starting at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $30 each in advance or $40 each at door.
SUNDAY – DEC. 17
10 a.m. - Episcopal Worship Service at 2 Lakeview Drive, St. Marie. Questions, call Alice Hawkins at 524-3397.
11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. - Nashua Senior Citizens’ Family Meal for the Community at the Nashua Senior Center with cards and games following the meal.
11 a.m. - Opheim Sunday School Christmas Program at the Opheim Community Church.
12 – 3 p.m. - Northern Lights host Community Christmas Party at the Opheim School cafeteria. Lunch will be served followed by bingo, cards and games. Everyone is invited.
1-3 p.m. - Roller Skating, sponsored by the Nashua Lions Club, at the Nashua Civic Center every Sunday.
2 p.m. - Pinochle every 1st and 3rd Sunday at the Glasgow Senior Center. Everyone welcome.
2 p.m. - The Ft. Peck Lutheran Church Ladies’ annual Christmas Party. Refreshments will be served and everyone is welcome.
4 p.m. - The Annual Christmas Candle Lighting at the Nashua Cemetery followed by coffee, hot chocolate, treats and visiting at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Nashua. Questions, contact Pat Hallett at 746-3353 or 263-3353.
4 p.m. - The Ft. Peck Lutheran Church will have their annual Christmas Caroling Sleigh Ride. Hot dogs, hot chocolate and goodies will be provided after the caroling. Be sure to dress warm and bring a flashlight. Any questions, contact Jean Carlson at 526-3245.
7-10 p.m. - Bingo at the Glasgow Senior Citizens. No one under 18 allowed.
MONDAY – DEC. 18
7 p.m. - Glasgow High School Winter Concert at GHS Auditorium. Groups featured will be the swing and chamber choirs and the HS band.
TUESDAY – DEC. 19
12-1 p.m. - Valley County Mental Health Local Advisory Council meets at FMDH. Anyone concerned about mental health in Glasgow should attend.
12 – 4 p.m. - Valley Community Food Bank, serving only Valley County residents is open and located at 1020 1st Ave. No. If this is your first time applying for assistance, bring a photo ID and proof of your physical residence. For more info., call 263-1253.
4:30 p.m. - Opheim Business Professionals of America will have a pulled pork sandwich dinner prior to Christmas Program at 6 p.m.
6 p.m. - Opheim Elementary Christmas Play, “A Holiday Moosical,” and School Music Concert.
6:30 p.m. - Gingerbread House decorating at First Lutheran Church, Glasgow. $15 charge for supplies. Contact Valley County Extension Office to pre-register at 228-6241.
