Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913
It was a full house at the FMDH Foundation's annual event held Nov. 4, at the Cottonwood Inn. Board President Shelly George welcomed everyone for coming out, and discussed how important the Foundation is to our community. Wonderful hors d'oeuvres were served and the room sparkled.
It was a fun night filled with wonderful friends. Dennis and Sue Garsjo probably had the most fun as they were the lucky winner of the yogo sapphire with diamonds ring, sponsored by Baker's Jewelry. They had their choice of the ring or $2,000 in groceries from Reynolds, but I'm not sure Dennis had a choice! Other winners included: Lindsey Zoanni, Lynne Erickson, Joe Bergtoll, Brandi Knierim, Janice Lawrence, Art Johnson, Karla Zerbe, Connie Jensen, Shyla Bergtoll and Larry Cote.
The night ended with the Time in the Saddle band out of Billings. The band played and people danced until midnight. With supplemental funding from Thrivent Financial and prizes from Chico Hotsprings, Cottonwood Inn, Stoughiers Bar and Grill Limo Service, CB's Detailing, Table for Six, 5th Avenue, Chloe and Isabel, A Lot Like Love Artwork, Fort Peck Summer Theatre, and Kitty Kolden, it was a successful event, with everyone looking forward to the next diamond affair.
Mary Kate Tihista presented the financial report. The Foundation's current assets are close to $5 million. Since 1982, the Foundation has given out over 1.9 million in financial gifts to FMDH, community organizations, medical scholarships and Valley County Ambulance Services.
