Tire Shredder on Loan in Valley County Landfill

The Valley County landfill currently has a tire shredder on loan for approximately a month to help properly dispose and recycle the tires that have accumulated over the past three years. The shredder is on loan for a substantial amount of money, so the refuge district asks the public to always drive into the landfill to dump off old tires, and to not dispose of them in the household trash dumpsters. Improper dumping of tires and other materials costs the landfill money throughout the year, which could be used towards the purchase or rental of necessary equipment.
